What are Area Agencies on Aging?

Area Agencies on Aging (AAA) were created by state statute in 1973 to deliver services under the Older Americans Act. AAAs are not-for-profit entities providing services to older adults and people with disabilities of any age and their caregivers.

Who should call AAAs?

Members of the community needing information about the aging population
Older adults looking for assistance with activities such as cooking, bathing, etc.
Community members suspecting abouse or neglect of a dependent adult

Where are the AAAs?
